Our Facility

When Your Pet Requires Critical Care Above and Beyond What Your Primary Veterinarian Can Provide Look No Further Than the Animal Emergency and Urgent Care Center (AEUCC)

AEUCC is a comprehensive Boca Raton pet hospital that has been serving this Florida community and surrounding cities in the same location for the past 17 years. Families entrust us with the care of their furry companions during the most difficult times because our experienced and compassionate veterinarians, technicians, nurses and specialists are devoted to the well-being and recovery of every animal who comes through our doors.

To that end, we have spent the last year and nearly a million dollars optimizing our 4,000-square-foot facility, demonstrating our commitment to using the most advanced scientific modalities in our treatments. Upon completing these renovations, our Boca Raton pet hospital facilities are now considered to be one of the most advanced labs and diagnostic testing animal hospitals in the United States.

What You'll See

When you enter AEUCC with your dog or cat, you will be in an advanced veterinary hospital that boasts four state-of-the-art examination rooms and two surgical rooms. You may also notice that we keep all areas scrupulously clean in order to minimize the chances of infections in our animal in- and outpatients.

Behind the scenes, we have also worked hard to enhance our computer hardware and software. Our cutting-edge computers and networks facilitate diagnostic imaging and X-rays and make it possible for us to monitor the cardiac conditions, temperature, vitals and oxygen levels of all patients in our kennels and cages round the clock. Additionally, we have procured several state-of-the-art machines that can enable us to obtain accurate data to help us in diagnosing and treating your pet’s condition quickly and accurately.

State-of-the-Art Equipment at Our Boca Raton Pet Hospital

IDEXX CATALYST DX

This chemistry analyzer is a piece of equipment that makes it possible for our veterinary staff to run multiple samples and test types simultaneously. It allows us to do the following:

  • Assess kidney function in-house with this essential chemistry parameter.
  • Easily screen, diagnose and manage thyroid disease during the patient visit.
  • Maintain continuity of care with same-day pre- and postprandial results.
  • Reliably predict canine ovulation with quantitative, in-house results.
  • Better manage diabetic patients with rapid results.
  • Diagnose early renal disease.
  • Monitor and adjust phenobarbital levels in one visit.
  • Detect and monitor systemic inflammation in dogs during the patient visit.
  • Results in as little as 8 minutes.

IDEXX COAG DX

This analyzer makes it possible for our veterinarians to identify and manage blood clotting problems in our patients through the use of aPTT or PTT tests on whole or citrated blood. Using this machine, we can:

  • Uncover bleeding disorders in seconds.
  • Screen at-risk animals to detect clotting problems during a wellness examination or before surgery and avoid bleeding complications during or afterward.

IDEXX VETLAB UA

The IDEXX Vetlab UA machine examines your pet’s urine to quickly gain vital details about organ functioning and health. Primarily, it detects acidity in the urine to assist our doctors in spotting infection.

IDEXX SNAP PRO

This machine allows us to fully analyze the results of the 4dx SNAP test, a measure that tests your pet for six vector-borne diseases: Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia canis, Ehrlichia ewingi, Anaplasma phagocytophilum and Anaplasma platys. Additionally, this equipment allows us to check for viruses and other conditions such as pancreatitis.

IDEXX PROCYTE

This machine allows us to conduct further analysis on your pet’s blood. With the information it provides, we can diagnose anemia and can tell if the animal is bleeding internally, has an infection or is experiencing inflammation.

IDEXX SEDIVUE DX

With this analyzer, we can supplement other urinalysis results. The machine enables us to:

  • Detect blood, crystals, and bacteria in urine for proper treatment.
  • Detect infections and glucose in urine.

CUBEX

A mechanism that allows us to accurately dispense the precise amounts of injectables and medications each patient needs, including controlled substances.

Since we are often treating several patients simultaneously, we have multiples of each of these machines, ensuring that there are no delays in conducting crucial testing.  Our hospital is equipped with oxygen throughout the facility, ensuring that the patients in our 32 cages and seven kennels always have ready access to the supplementation they need.
